Changing Worlds in the Atlas Mountains
– a BOUTECO film by Kuba Nowak

A universal story of hope, love and support which conveys the importance of helping teenage girls access further education.

After successfully crowdfunding to make their independently-made 20-minute documentary, Juliet Kinsman and Kuba Nowak spent 10 days in April and May 2019 in the High Atlas Mountains filming at the Education For All boarding houses in Asni and on location in Atlas villages and Marrakech. Interviews with the housemothers and students are in English, Arabic, French, Berber, dialectical Arabic, with English subtitles, with original music by Michael Blainey.

Juliet and Kuba are looking for sponsorship to help with international distribution and to fund screenings at film festivals and schools globally as they want this short film to raise awareness of the invaluable impact of girls accessing education past primary school level and show how grass-roots charity initiatives can genuinely change worlds. Through this project, BOUTECO has shown how the travel and hotel industry can be an incredible force for good and extends a huge thank you to all who kindly and generously supported their Kickstarter campaign.

"It would be great if this film could sensitise people to the role of women in society – show the importance of education for girls and the value of educating women"
— Thomas Reilly, Patron of Education For All, British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco
